F1 Shanghai China 2012 Preview

UBS Chinese Grand Prix, Chinese GP,
Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai,  April 15, 2012

After two weeks off the Formula 1 World Championship takes the action with a new race: the GP of China. The Shanghai circuit is presented as a technical and complex path to all the teams, especially for Ferrari and Fernando Alonso.

The Spaniard arrives in China quoted the lead under his arm and having broken all the odds in Malaysia. Alonso showed all his virtues in the rain in Sepang for victory completely unexpected in view of the F2012's performance during the weekend.

Now the Ferrari driver will try to defend his privileged position in the layout of Shanghai. Ferrari is expected to have improved the performance of the car but the main improvements are not expected until the appointment of Montmelo, in the middle of May.

Even the GP of Spain, which will release the European Formula 1 season, Alonso will squeeze their privileged hands on a car that normally shown below McLaren, Red Bull and even Mercedes and Lotus.

The Shanghai circuit is a technical track, which combines two great lines, with their brakes, with a second hauling industry and where it will be very necessary to have good downforce.

Alonso knows how to win in China. He did it in 2005 at the hands of Renault. The driver who has won more times in Shanghai is Lewis Hamilton (2008 and 2011).

And if Alonso wants to maintain its lead in the drivers' standings, Red Bull wants to react after a difficult start to the season. Sebastian Vettel is still the big bet of the Austrian team to win the driver's title.

Vettel has already confirmed his confidence a few days ago to start to pick positions, now ranks sixth on 17 points from Fernando Alonso. While his teammate Mark Webber is fourth, eleven points behind Spaniard.

McLaren also want to recover after the last race. Lewis is expected to Hamilton eager after getting the first two poles of the season and failing to win in any of the two races.

The MP4-27 is still the best car on the grid at the start of the season and the Woking based team wants to begin to translate this superiority into victories.
