Nico Rosberg - Mercedes AMG

The Qualifying today is taken equally. The fastest time it has taken Nico Rosberg, the German driver gets pole position for the first time in his career, and has done so with style and even getting off the car before the end of the session.

Not only has the best time is that time has succeeded without opposition, in a perfect lap with no mistakes, proving his quality, how well does the Mercedes in qualifying and ... that this year's Formula 1 will to get tighter and tighter, until it eventually go crazy.

The news today is divided because Sebastian Vettel has fallen today in Q2, which was too long to remember, and that evidence both that the championship this year is tighter than ever and there is a problem in the RB8. There is something to rejoice, of course, but this position will give sauce tomorrow's race, with Vettel will have to overcome.

If Q2 was a surprise at the unusual position of Vettel and the evidence that the cars have improved, but some more than others, in Q3 we waited 10 minutes very exciting. Probably the wind affected everyone on track in Q3, because the difference in performance between the 1 minute and 10 was noticed too. In fact, some drivers like Mark Webber scored times worse than in Q2.

See the timesheets. Does anyone expect these results? Rosberg, Hamilton, Schumacher, Kobayashi fourth, Raikkonen fifth ... unexpected results, more sauce for the races and also one more thing: the more varied the race results, the better for Fernando Alonso. It is a way to keep hope until they reach at last the good parts, which improve the real car.

To highlight the role of phenomenal Kobayashi Sauber with Sergio Perez fourth and eighth. Having both drivers in Q3 is a sign indicating the strength of the team this year. With respect to Williams expecting a bit more, but will have to wait to see the performance in the race to fully judge. I think Ferrari has improved, not much but something. Massa goes twelfth, Alonso ninth. At least come close to each other.

Kamui Kobayashi - Sauber

HRT is doing an outstanding job, very near Marussia this Grand Prix, something that Alex expalin in a post analysis of what they have achieved today. Very important, no doubt we will see how they evolve in the race.
