IndyCar Honda Indy Edmonton Canada 2011 Preview

IndyCar Honda Indy Edmonton Canada July 24, 2011
IZOD IndyCar Series 2011

The IndyCar weekend continues its tour of Canada. After the narrow streets of Toronto, IndyCar drivers found the wide avenues of the Edmonton airport for what will be the seventh edition of the Honda Indy Edmonton.

After many criticisms about the difficulties of passing and the need for the airport to keep trails open to air traffic, the City of Edmonton undertook extensive work to re-route to keep its place in the championship. On twisty and very technical, Edmonton has become very fast with two long stretches thoroughly followed by heavy braking and a few sequences that will be crossed on the fourth report. Now the configuration is closer to Cleveland and we should see many attempts to overrun without falling into the festival of accidents that we offer Toronto.
