Pedrosa replaced by Aoyama at Iveco TT Assen MotoGP 2011

Dani Pedrosa should be miss again in the MotoGP Iveco TT Assen. The Honda rider did not appear in the Netherlands at the weekend and was replaced by Hiroshi Aoyama.


"Honda Racing Corporation has confirmed that Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa, will not perform at this weekend's race at Assen," the statement from HRC team in MotoGP's official website on Wednesday (22/06/2011). Pedrosa was absent in Previous races at Catalunya and the UK. About a week ago, 25 years old rider underwent further surgery to cure his injury. When the team doctor that said that Pedrosa had a chance to comeback at Assen. But throughout the week, overwhelmed by the question mark Pedrosa readiness. As a precaution, Honda is preparing Hiroshi Aoyama for Pedrosa's replacement.
"The position of Pedrosa in the Repsol Honda replaced by Hiroshi Aoyama from San Carlo Honda Gresini. While the HRC test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi will replace Aoyama and partnering with Marco Simoncelli in the San Carlo Honda Gresini," according to the HRC team. "HRC is happy to provide an opportunity for Aoyama to race with the manufacturer's bike and thanks to Gresini Racing Team for their cooperation."
