WSBK Australia Phillip Island Preview 2012

World Superbike Australia February 26, 2012
Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

After a long winter break this weekend begins a new and exciting World Superbike season. In this first race in the circuit of Phillip Island, where on the other hand have been training these past few days. The circuit is already well known to all of us, is situated on an island south of Melbourne. It has a length of 4,448 meters and a track width of 13 meters. It runs in the opposite direction to clockwise and consists of 7 curves left and 5 right and the home straight is 900 meters.

Last year more than one occasion we was excited to talk about 4 or 5 and even 6 manufacturers in the top of the grates. But then for various reasons and our joy was always the thing to our beloved decanting rider Carlos Checa, who finished clinching the title. That did have to fight to the last race with Max Biaggi, Marco Melandri, all of them former MotoGP riders.

This year we were most surprising in the first race will be the Kawasaki (Sykes and Lascorz), but last year did not show competitive beyond the front, this year seems to have found a place among the first. It will also be exciting to see Marco Melandri with the BMW and the team Effenbert Liberty, featuring J. Smrz, Guintoli and Ducati to make war.
