MotoGP Assen qualifying result : Simoncelli grab pole position, hoping for better result

Marco Simoncelli grab the Dutch MotoGP pole position at Assen on Friday (24/06/2011). Ben Spies start from the second and Casey Stoner is third.

Simoncelli clocked 1 minute 34.718 seconds to take pole position in the race which took place on Saturday (25/06/2011) tomorrow. San Carlo Honda Gresini rider was successful achievement of continuing him in free practice I and II, where he managed the fastest time. Pole in the Netherlands becomes the second MotoGP that Marco Simoncelli obtained in a single month. But because it had previously failed on the podium, this time the Honda rider was hoping for a better outcome.
The second start position is occupied by Ben Spies who missed only 0.009 seconds from Simoncelli. Championship leader Casey Stoner started the race from third position.
Defending champion Jorge Lorenzo started the race in the land of Windmills of the fourth. Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi, who uses GP11.1 achieve bad results with 11.
