World Superbike Australia Phillip Island Race Live Stream 2014

WSBK Phillip Island, Australia
February 21-23 2014

The first weekend's World Superbikes race at Phillip Island getting started with Sylvain Guintoli marking the first Superpole of the season in what has been a resurgence of Aprilia which showed no signs of being able to go fast . However, with a masterful turn on the RSV4 Factory with qualifying tires, the Frenchman again proved the magic of this sport. The first row of the grid is completed by Davide Giugliano and Marco Melandri, the other official Aprilia rider

Perhaps the new format is not as exciting as the previous three rounds Superpole , but always fighting the clock in the WSBK is exciting , mostly because equality is amazing. The first to be discarded in the struggle for Superpole was the champion Tom Sykes after suffering a fall at turn 10 of the Phillip Island circuit , leaving him no options to contest the final minutes of the session and thus to fight .

The second row of the grid is for the pair of Suzuki, with Eugene Laverty in fourth and Alex Lowes in fifth. They will be joined by Jonathan Rea in sixth place . Meanwhile, the third row will be par for men curiously as Loris Baz Kawasaki is seventh , Tom Sykes after his fall has had to settle for eighth place and Leon Haslam is ninth.

Niccolò Canepa with EVO Panigale has been the top-ranked in this category with his tenth place in a fight that has not had too much sauce as David Salom finished twelfth to seven tenths of the Italian . Between them is Chaz Davies, with the official Ducati bike.

WSBK Imola Italy 2012 Preview

 WSBK Imola Italy 2012

Despite statements to the pessimism oriented issued on the eve of the race weekend, Max Biaggi is fully part of the pool of riders decreed to the podium at Imola, the second round of 2012 World Superbike Championship. With him in the group of eligible candidates is obviously Carlos Checa - who has win race one-two here in 2010 and last year won race 2 on the podium in the first round - but also Marco Melandri increasingly at ease with the his BMW, and why not, Tom Sykes, who in recent tests and race was a breeze.

THE CIRCUIT - Nine legendary curves in less than five kilometers, in an ensemble full of ups and downs of the most varied and challenging of all. It starts from the tambourine, followed by Villeneuve, both of them very fast. This breaks the straight that leads to the Tosa.

This is followed by a climb that culminates in Piratella, a blind corner on the left where you have to trust much of the front. More straight and after a very busy down there you enter in Mineral Waters.

It then rises again encountering the Variante Alta, a right-left chicane, which is followed by a downhill straight that leads in two of Rivazza. Shortly before returning to cross the finish line, it was the turn of the Variante Bassa.

The prediction - especially for us hanging on the side of the Ducati, historically very comfortable on the track where the twin from Bologna on the counterattack from the low gear is more important than top speed, which is rather the pride of the fast RSV4 of Biaggi . The Roman, on the other hand, is cautious, even adopt a low profile: they say in the form, praises his bike but it looks good from any externalization enthusiastic about the outcome of races.

WSBK Australia Phillip Island Preview 2012

World Superbike Australia February 26, 2012
Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

After a long winter break this weekend begins a new and exciting World Superbike season. In this first race in the circuit of Phillip Island, where on the other hand have been training these past few days. The circuit is already well known to all of us, is situated on an island south of Melbourne. It has a length of 4,448 meters and a track width of 13 meters. It runs in the opposite direction to clockwise and consists of 7 curves left and 5 right and the home straight is 900 meters.

Last year more than one occasion we was excited to talk about 4 or 5 and even 6 manufacturers in the top of the grates. But then for various reasons and our joy was always the thing to our beloved decanting rider Carlos Checa, who finished clinching the title. That did have to fight to the last race with Max Biaggi, Marco Melandri, all of them former MotoGP riders.

This year we were most surprising in the first race will be the Kawasaki (Sykes and Lascorz), but last year did not show competitive beyond the front, this year seems to have found a place among the first. It will also be exciting to see Marco Melandri with the BMW and the team Effenbert Liberty, featuring J. Smrz, Guintoli and Ducati to make war.

Nürburgring WSBK 2011 Germany Preview

World Superbike Germany Nürburgring September 4, 2011

The tenth race of the 2011 World Superbike Championship season is almost upon us. On the famous Nürburgring track, the centaurs of the premier class derived from the series will return to the saddle after the summer break, the first of four final events of the year. The track of the Rhineland-Palatinate has been back on the SBK circus in 2008, after 8 seasons of absence, bringing with it the addition of a new section immediately following the first corner, the so-called "Mercedes Arena." This is a complex of curves slow corner which increased the total length of the track, not as simple as finding a good set-up.

After the perfect round at Silverstone (twice in the race, the fourth in season), the leader Carlos Checa (Ducati Althea) looks like this in the land of Germany with advantage of 62 points over his rival for the title, and defending champion, Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia). This huge advantage in terms of ranking expert Spaniard gives the opportunity to better manage this trip, on a path that has never seen but that the winner has delivered the second step of the podium in race one last year, and two third places in 2009.

Date: Sunday September 04, 2011

SBK Superbike Brno Live Streaming: Checa and Melandri are under Biaggi's authority track. Three victories and a total of seven podium finishes in eight races that the prize of Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) at Brno (Czech Republic) since his arrived in Superbike. His results are truly impressive, given that no one has ever qualified and has never finished a race below the fourth. And if we add the three victories and four 500/MotoGP in 250 GP, we can say that the 2010 World Champion is a favorite of the eighth round of the 2011 Championship. Along the 5,403 m. of the track - which has considerable variations in altitude and fourteen turns - are expected, as usual, many fans, not only from Eastern Europe, but also from Italy and Germany.

If Max Biaggi is the rider who has the best positions in Brno, Carlos Checa (Ducati Althea Racing) will try to keep his advantage (43 points) in the standings, just against the World Champion. The Spaniard has gone up only once on the podium in race 1 of 2009 (second place) in six appearances in the Czech Republic, but this year has so far failed to overturn a number of predictions.

Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) never raced with the Superbike at Brno before, which has assets in fifth place in 2006, his best result at this circuit in MotoGP. The Ravenna won the race in the 250 GP in 2002. Italian is currently ranked third in the World Superbike Championship with 66 points behind Checa. Even for His teammate, Eugene Laverty is a Superbike debut at this circuit: it has already competed twice with the Supersport, but without significant results (fifth in 2009). Surely the Irish - winner of two races this season - will defend his fourth place in the World Championship standings from attacks that will bring the British Leon Camier (Aprilia Racing Team, Alitalia) and Leon Haslam (BMW Motorrad Motorsports) who follow him in the standings.

About British, Jonathan Rea, injured, will be replaced by Alex Lowes - twin brother of Sam - of Castrol Honda, which has already competed in the Superstock Czech Republic will also be absent Troy Corser (BMW Motorrad Motorsports), which will not be replaced on this occasion.

Brno is the home race for Team Racing Effenbert Liberty, based in Prague, Czech sposor with and a Czech rider among its ranks. Jakub Smrz has demonstrated on several occasions to be incredibly fast, but has yet to find the right consistency of performance on his Ducati 1098R.

Riders standings (after 7 of 13 rounds):
1. Carlos Checa 261; 2. Max Biaggi 218 3. Marco Melandri 195 4. Eugene Laverty 146; 5. Leon Camier 125; 6. Leon Haslam 120; 7. Michel Fabrizio 108, 8. Jonathan Rea 94.

Manufacturers:
1.Ducati 273 points 2.Aprilia 257 points 3.Yamaha 235 points 4.BMW 153 points. 5.Suzuki 112 6.Honda and Kawasaki 111 points.

Misano Adriatico San Marino, Italy. will be sixth of the 13 rounds in this year's calendar. Carlos Checa is currently holds a healthy 61-point lead in the table over his Italian rivals Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) and Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team).

But this year, with six wins to his name (including two doubles), Checa is in spectacular form and will be going all out to maintain his advantage this weekend. Biaggi on the other hand is still searching for his first, elusive win this season on the Aprilia RSV4-R machine, and he will be required to call upon all his vast experience and character to bring an end to a series of episodes that have kept him down in third place overall in the standings.

In the historic city centre riders and bikes representing the seven manufacturers officially taking part in World Superbike tackled a 300 metre long uphill route on the cobblestones towards Piazza della Libertà square amidst the enraptured gaze of tourists, shoppers and onlookers.
Jonathan Rea (Honda), Michel Fabrizio (Suzuki), Leon Camier (Aprilia), Marco Melandri (Yamaha), Carlos Checa (Ducati), Leon Haslam (BMW) and Chris Vermeulen (Kawasaki) were the riders chosen for this spectacular exhibition, and they were greeted at the top for the inauguration of the Superbike Expo display by the San Marino and Misano Adriatico political and sporting authorities.

The FIM Superbike World Championship weekend will be at its very best this coming weekend for the San Marino Round, with a full programme of supporting events, including World Supersport, Superstock 1000 FIM Cup and UEM European Superstock 600 Championship, following the sole appearance of the Superbike category at the last round in the USA.
