IndyCar Honda Indy Edmonton Canada 2011 Preview

IndyCar Honda Indy Edmonton Canada July 24, 2011
IZOD IndyCar Series 2011

The IndyCar weekend continues its tour of Canada. After the narrow streets of Toronto, IndyCar drivers found the wide avenues of the Edmonton airport for what will be the seventh edition of the Honda Indy Edmonton.

After many criticisms about the difficulties of passing and the need for the airport to keep trails open to air traffic, the City of Edmonton undertook extensive work to re-route to keep its place in the championship. On twisty and very technical, Edmonton has become very fast with two long stretches thoroughly followed by heavy braking and a few sequences that will be crossed on the fourth report. Now the configuration is closer to Cleveland and we should see many attempts to overrun without falling into the festival of accidents that we offer Toronto.

IndyCar Series Honda Indy Toronto Live Streaming. Leading the championship, Franchitti will treat his confidence by reading the following statistic: in six of the last 13 championships, the driver in the lead in mid-season has gone win the championship.

But be careful for Will Power On a circuit that has crowned twice in 2007 and 2010, Penske driver knows he has no room for error if it wants to keep his chances to get the title. And if one relies on the past, Power has never cracked under pressure when operating on a road. So he will succeed in reversing the trend in Canada? Moreover, he's the poleman for the Sunday race.

This weekend, the public will once again encourage the mass local hero Paul Tracy. The veteran will try to take his 19th career start in Toronto at the wheel of the Dragon Racing car. As if Tracy was not enough, another Canadian will receive the support of the local public: James Hinchcliffe. The rookie will play in his garden (his parents had brought for the first time on the circut when he was a year and a half) and hopes to use his experience in Indy Lights, a category in which he had won a podium in 2009. And he will start from 13.

Finally after his stunning victory over the Iowa Speedway, Marco Andretti comes with a confidence and morale pumped. The young Marco will attempt to join his father on a track that has spent seven times! But, the race seems to be hard from him as he start from 20 just ahed of Danica Patrick.

After missing a year since 2009, Izod IndyCar Series back to The Milwaukee Mile. Scott Dixon won the race in 2009, the pole sitter Ryan Briscoe is second followed by Dario Franchitti third and Graham Rahal finished fourth.

One-mile oval in milwaukee more like a road course because of the flat angle, which produces exciting racing. Drivers can not go flat out on the track, which creates opportunities to overtake around the bend and straight. The Milwaukee Mile opened in 1903 and little change in the configuration. The event held consist at the Father's Day.
Will Power Penske who topped the timesheets in the first-track action at the Milwaukee Mile for two years, putting in the time just 0.0242s ahead of Dario Franchitti Ganassi.
